BARBARA GILSON

Barbara Gilson has a degree from the Law School of Dijon University, France and a postgraduate degree (Diplôme d'Etudes Superieures Spécialisées) in Geopolitics from Marne-la-Vallée Paris University, France.

 

In 2006, she joined Markides, Markides & Co as a trainee advocate and in 2008 she was admitted to the Cyprus Bar as a qualified lawyer.

 

In 2011, Barbara became a Partner of the Law Firm of Markides, Markides & Co and she is the head of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department.

 

Barbara deals with a wide range of tasks associated with the handling of IP rights portfolio, from clearance, prosecution to litigation for some of the most renowned pharmaceutical, chemical, beverage, automotive, luxury goods, textile and technology companies. She has been a member of several IP associations, the most prominent being INTA, Marques, PTMG and ECTA.

 

She speaks fluently French, Greek and English.
