Maria Constantinou has a degree (LL.B) from the South Bank University in London. In 1992, she joined the Council of Legal Education, Inns of Court School of Law, and qualified as a Barrister at Law, in 1993.
Maria was a partner in another Law Firm until 2010, where she was in charge of the litigation department. In January 2011, she joined Markides, Markides & Co as a Partner.
Maria has extensive experience in civil litigation, banking and finance, commercial disputes and company law issues. She has represented and prosecuted claims on behalf of major local and foreign banking institutions and has defended successfully such banks in cases of alleged negligence, breach of fiduciary duties, misrepresentation and fraud. Maria appears before First Instance Courts, as well as before the Supreme Court of Cyprus.
She speaks fluently Greek and English.
